Teach Receptive and Expressive ID of Uppercase and Lowercase Letters. Using a cutout view to decrease visual stimuli students focus on one row for one response at a time. (Expressive Response) Ask student to expressively ID a letter when letter is shown in isolation. (Receptive Response) When the letter is shown in an array of 3 ask student to receptively ID the letter. Focus on teaching a letter with 2 pages for each letter. Student focuses on one letter at a time for 16 trials. When the student masters one letter, introduce another. Mix mastered letters. Great addition to any letter unit. Great extra practice for home/school.
