This is a great back-to-school unit that will complement your social-emotional skills instruction and help kids write about recess events in their daily writing. These materials are unique in that they support letter and number formations for young writers.
Printing: PDF images are in color and some teachers prefer to print the two stations in color and laminate for dry erase use. The mini-books and word work materials also have pictures that support children’s understanding when printed in black and white. If you are using a copy machine to make several copies use of the “photograph and text” setting is helpful for preserving the gray boxes and images.
Print Path letter font is a single stroke vertical manuscript that is compatible with either Zaner-Bloser© or Handwriting Without Tears© (HWT) style font. Print Path is compatible with HWT materials but allows your children to learn and practice formations on the three-lined paper they are most likely to encounter. Go-dots and arrows are research-based best practices to help your learners use correct letter formations toward the goal of forming life-long automatic and legible handwriting.
