This French Revolution review activity has students come up with the ingredients (or components) necessary for a revolution against King Louis and the steps to be followed to achieve a change in government and social structure. It also includes a visual/creative component. Instructions are clear and thorough in the handout. Included are two versions of this activity: one with an answer bank where students put the information in the correct order, and another version where they think of the ingredients and list the steps on their own (or in pairs or groups). Students can add to this by determining how much of each ingredient is necessary, i.e. 1 guillotine, 2 cups discontented Third Estate, 1 gallon Great Fear, etc. Answer key included, although there should be some wiggle room if students can justify why they put items where they did, or why they chose to include items not in the answer key.
