This Revolutionary War review activity has students come up with the ingredients (or components) necessary for an American revolution against Great Britain and the steps to be followed to achieve independence. It also includes a comparative visual/creative component. Instructions are clear and thorough in the handout. There are two versions of this activity in the file: one with an answer bank where students put the information in the correct order, and another version where they think of the ingredients and list the steps on their own (or in pairs or groups). The students can add some creativity by determining for themselves how much there should be of each ingredient, i.e. 1 cup Tea Party, 3 tbsp additional troops sent, etc. The answer key is included, although there should be some wiggle room if students can justify why they put items where they did, or why they chose to include items not in the answer key.
