Having trouble coming up with a creative way to teach the recipe for the great depression?
Look no further!
This "New Deal in Action " Activity includes:
1) This activity gives your students the opportunity to identify key aspects of the economic problems that lead to the Great Depression. Students will fill our a graphic organizer that asks them to identify key aspects of the economy that were failing during the 20's. Next students will GRAPH data from four different aspects of the economy including: unemployment, GNP, business failures and bank closures. They will then use the data from these graphs to debrief about the causes of the depression. Finally, they will use all of the knowledge gained in the activity to explain when they thought the depression started and why.
2) A detailed answer key to the lesson activity to save you time and help guide student comprehension.
