This lesson is designed for lower elementary but it could be used for older students with delays in this area due to disabilities such as Autism or other Emotional Disabilities.
The lesson increases students empathy and emotional regulation. Students get to "fish" for emotions and explore previous experiences related to this emotion. The lesson is easily implemented but does require some initial prep work (constructing the game).
This activity builds community in a classroom and increases student's ability to relate to each other.
