This is a lesson introducing common polyhedrons (3-dimensional figures) and their parts. Lesson includes:
Objective, vocabulary (polyhedron, face, edge, vertex, prism, parallel, prism base, pyramid, pyramid base, lateral face), guided practice, and partner class work.
In my own classroom, I found this lesson (and medium of instruction - i.e. Power Points) particularly helpful for and successful with students who struggled to pay attention, do work, take notes, or participate.
This is NOT a CCSS-aligned lesson; it should be used as a supplement to a CCSS-aligned lesson (either as review, remediation, or extension).
This is NOT a unit, homework, or assessment.
This is in .ppsx (2010 Power Point Show) format.
