Teaching with comprehensible input has changed how I approach teaching Spanish completely. I lower the amount of vocabulary words but I decide on the high frequency verbs that kids have to know and I start teaching them the conjugations for each verb as vocabulary words.
Also, I look at all the chapters they will learn in Spanish 1 and I start spiraling and previewing important verbs. For example, I chose to teach two stem changers in this chapter because I know in chapter 4 they get a million more. It's all about having them master it early and feel confident before throwing a million more verbs at them.
This chart is simply the order I teach the verbs (and all the conjugations) to students. For each set, I do games, flaschcards, conjuguemos, etc.
