*****Two for the price of one!
Teacher-prepared notes show students what is important and how ideas relate, and offer a model for how students should take notes themselves (Marzano et al., 2001). These notes look at Lincoln, Johnson, and Congress's plans for Reconstruction 1865-1877. Specifically, these notes look at how Lincoln, Johnson, and Congress tried to answer the following questions: 1.) How should Southern states be readmitted, 2) What should be done to help free African Americans, and 3) Who should be in charge of Reconstruction. Lastly, this first graphic organizer looks at the politics of Postwar Reconstruction in the South.
I have also included a second graphic organizer that looks at the foundations, progress, and collapse of Reconstruction. These two graphic organizers will give students all the pertinent information about the Reconstruction Era!
These notes come with a completed teacher version and a student fill-in-the-blanks version. It also includes a word search puzzle with key vocabulary from the Reconstruction Era. Enjoy!
