The purpose of this project is to reinforce content already learned on the Reconstruction Period in United States History. It requires students think critically about historical information as they develop a flashy newspaper article and compose it around a well defended thesis and interviews conducted with other students. This is a fun project aimed at developing literacy and higher level critical thinking skills. My students had a blast with it.
Four word files included:
1. Directions page with a check list to guide students.
2. A Newspaper format page for students to follow.
3. An interview notepad sheet to be used while conducting interviews.
4. A grading rubric.
