For beginning soprano recorder, these are 12 common note fingerings. To explain the fingerings, I included text of which fingers, or how many fingers, are used to play the note. 12 flash cards are included. Each flash card is color coded to correspond to the classroom posters. To help students practice, duplicate with the blank recorder on the back and have them complete the note name and fingering. Also, there is a poster for the three strategies to help learn the lines and space notes of the treble clef.
If your students have 1:1 devices, you have music stations, or if you want to play in teams as a class, I have created 10-question Kahoot games for note name fluency practice. Kahoot also generates reports for assessment data.
Note Name Dash- Identify the note on the 5-line staff.
Note Name Dash 2- Identify two note names from left to right on the 5-line staff.
Note Name Jumble- Drag the notes names in the correct order reading the music from left to right.
See the Recorder Challenge Lines to motivate and differentiate for your students.
