This set of three recorder folder games are great practice for recorder students of various skill levels.
Beginner: B-A-G It (uses pitches B, A and G - great for any mrd song)
Intermediate: CAGE It (uses pitches C, A, G and E - great for any C Major msld song)
Advanced: Earn your BADGE (uses pitches B, A, G, E and D - great for any G Major mrd - l,s, song)
To create them, print out the four pages. Glue pages 3 and 4 into the inside of a manilla folder. Glue page 1 to the front of the folder. Cut out the boxes on page 2 and place in a plastic baggie.
The students match each set of pitch letters (example: BAGA) to the corresponding quarter notes on the music staff. Then, they can play each pattern, once with the pitch names and once without them. (Note: When I use these, I put students in pairs.)
