This is book 2 of the Recorder Karate Series!
The packet begins with a review of notes G, E, A (sol, mi, la) from book 1, and builds from there. The range is from low D to high D'. The notes the students are learning on the recorder align with the solfege in the songs that they're used to singing (Sol Mi, Sol Mi La, etc). The packet quickly builds a pentatonic scale, so you can easily incorporate orff instruments, improvisation, and other ideas into your lessons. Each song is a new belt color that follows the order of receiving belts in a karate class. The purple belt in the packet is to test literacy skills through sight-reading so that you can determine what help your students need to further achieve their belts successfully. This packet is made so that you can set the printer to print double-sided, staple twice on the left side, and then easily cut the packet in half to create two packets. Time & tree saver!
