Have your students compose their own song in the three page workbook. Students first learn the fingering for the C Pentatonic with a warm-up scale and melody. Feel free to add variations and different rhythms to echo.
Students then have a page to write their own melody.
The final page in a template for their finished draft. Just like a writers workshop, have students work with one another before re-writing their final, good copy composition.
