Recorder Duet Sheet Music - Merrily We Roll Along - harmony 2
You can use this "Merrily We Roll Along - harmony" with "Merrily We Roll Along" sheet music you may have, as long as it's in G major. The notes used are D, E and G.
This is a great harmony line to learn new notes and to segue into It's Raining, It’s Pouring
, Rain, Rain Go Away
and Old MacDonald
Duets are a fantastic way to introduce your students to new pitches, review notes, keep early finishers busy, have them teaching each other (my favorite), as well as learn something about harmony and arrangement. More importantly, kids experience what music is really about; playing together.
The preview is an mp3!
I know you care about the quality of sheet music, but the foremost of importance (to me as well) is how does it sound? So listen before you buy. :)
When you listen to it please note, the 3rd voice or harmony is in the right speaker:
** That is the only music transcribed in this resource.**
The main melody or 1rst voice, is here: Merrily We Roll Along
. The main melody includes practice mp3's!
✫ all bars are numbered..that's a big help when you're teaching a class.
✫ big notation
✫ all note names and a duplicate with no note names
✫ colored notes with corresponding colored recorder
✫ fun recorders showing the fingering for the notes
✫ crisp images (still gorgeous when using an "economy ink" setting)
✫ beautiful projections (300 dpi )
✫ low ink usage duplicate
✫ written on Lilypond (software which renders the highest-quality sheet music)
✫ one mp3 in stereo so you can distinquish the two voices (same as preview)
A "Teacher Key" is also included. I recommend you use a translucent recorder when you show your students.
Did I hear someone say trio? Merrily We Roll Along - harmony 1
Please download Hot Cross Buns
for free, to try before you buy. The quality and layout of that resource is identical this one. A complete list of songs
available is in the product description.
If you have any questions or would like something "tweaked" (removing bar numbers for e.g.) do not hesitate to ask.
Something I should mention:
You'll want to check to see if both recorders are tuned to concert pitch for the duet. You can tune recorders by pulling them apart. BTW they do make one piece recorders which are always at concert pitch. You probably already know this, but it was news to me a while ago. :)
