Sinage is a four part composition for recorder ensemble using soprano, alto, tenor and bass. It is an impressionist style piece and it generates an atmosphere of melancholy. I have been the music teacher in the same primary (elementary) school for 25 years and have directed a very advanced ensemble for all of that time. I compose and/or arrange all of the music they play and of the 300 or so (one loses count) pieces I have done, this is one of the most popular with my students and audiences. Although my young ensemble plays this piece, it is also suitable for middle school and high school ensembles.
