Get your students thinking about what happens to paper, metal, plastic and glass when we throw it away. Discuss how by recycling, the products we throw away are re-used and re-designed to make new products.
This product contains 23 product cards and 4 sorting category pages, allowing your students to sort each product according to its original material. Use these cards as a whole class activity, a 'hunt' by placing the cards around the room or small group task, it's up to you! In conjunction with this task I have included a worksheet where students can record their findings.
This product corresponds with the New South Wales Science and Technology syllabus outcome: ST1-16P: Describes a range of manufactured products in the local environment and how their different purposes influence their design.
I hope your students enjoy this 'hunting' for recyclable products with this engaging activity!
