Identifying and Sorting Compost, Trash, and Recycling

This is a set of posters and printables that focuses on how to keep our Earth clean. It includes posters of items that we can recycle, compost, or need to be disposed of in the trash. It is meant to help spark discussion on the way that one individual can make a difference in our world. This product is appropriate for preschool, kindergarten, first grade and homeschool.

Students will identify types of recyclables, compost, and waste products. Students will find, color, tally, and/or graph types of litter. Students will discuss how they can make a difference in cleaning our world. Students will draw and/or write about how they can make a difference.

Check out this blog post about how pollution effects our oceans and ocean animals. It provides a hands-on way to emphasize the effect of litter on our world.

And this blog post on sorting trash to show kids how an individual can make a difference in the health of our world.
