Learn about Recycling using this FUN PowerPoint Recycling Game! This game is perfect to play around Earth Day, and comes with a PDF cut and paste version too! This Recycling Game has students practice sorting objects to Recycle It or Trash It. The first 3 slides of the game review Recycling: What it means to Recycle, Why Recycling is important, and What we can Recycle. The game consists of 20 slides, each with an item to Recycle or Trash. Students are prompted to click the correct picture, if they are correct - they hear applause, if they are incorrect - they hear an explosion. Students love hearing the fun sound effects to self-check their answers.
This game is designed for primary and special education classrooms. The game can be played individually at centers or as a whole group. The PDF version can be used to reinforce the concepts learned in the game, and also includes 2 signs: Recycle It! and Trash It! Print the signs on card stock and glue them to jumbo popsicle sticks, then have students hold them up as you go through each slide of the game as a class.
