Product Description
This book, "Red Turkey, Red Turkey, What Do You See?",is a book adapted from Bill Martin's "Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What do You See."
This is exactly like my other posting except I made the sky white to save printer ink.

Learning Opportunities:
-COLOR RECOGNITION: Red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple, pink, and brown.
-1:1 CORRESPONDENCE: Each page has a growing number of turkeys to count
-RHYMES: Each turkey is doing something that ends with the /ey/ sound
MAKING PREDICTIONS:Each turkey page has a part of a picture showing what the next set of turkeys will be doing (looking at bees, drinking tea)-(see below for implementation idea)
MAKING OBSERVATIONS: Each set of turkeys has the sun moving in the sky as the day progresses from sunrise to sunset.

**Assembly Idea**

When I make books for my class, I print them out and place all of them except for the cover into sheet protectors. I then take the sheet protecters and insert them into the brads of a folder making it in to a book. I laminate the cover page of the book and glue it to the front of the pocket folder. To save on sheet protectors I put the pages back to back as in a true book. Be sure you line up the pages that are meant to be a two page spread together.

**Prediction Activity Idea**

I designed the book so the kids can see half of the picture that shows what the turkeys on the next page will be doing. (Example: The yellow turkeys are looking at bees, so I put 1/2 a bee on the preceeding page. I like to have my kids make predictions of what it could be and then make a list on chart paper (examples bee, bug, spider). After the kids have given their predictions. I would say something like hmm I know that this word starts with /b/ and then go through each word on the list crossing off the words that dont have the /b/ sound. Then I would say something like hmm I know this word ends with the /ee/ sound. Then go through the list until as a class we make a prediction of a bee.

Thanks for looking!
