These Red Word lists are based on Orton Gillingham (stages 1-5). I use these lists with my students on a daily basis by stapling 5 of the same lists together. I give them 45 seconds to see how many they can identify correctly. After each week, if the students perform well, I move to the next list. If the student is still a novice, then he or she repeats the list for the next week. These are really great to help children learn red words with automaticity. These lists are quick, easy to use, and informative. They help monitor progress help guide red word instruction.
