This 2-page document is an argument essay prompt in both French and English. This can be used in World History when studying Rome. Students are required to brainstorm the qualities of an effective leader, and are assigned a Roman emperor to research (teacher may also allow student to choose). Students will write a coherent and unified essay in which they evaluate the qualities of an effective or ineffective emperor, supporting their claim with at least three reasons. The document includes a reminder of the components of an argument essay.
