This package contains 4 editable documents to assess your students learning skills and to have your students assess their own learning skills.
Two of the documents are designed for students to self assess their learning skills at three points in the year. One document is more suited for students in junior and above, the other is more suited for primary students; in terms of the language used and the criteria looked for.
In Ontario, students receive a progress report in the fall, a term 1 report card in the winter and a term 2 report card at the end of the year. This package will keep track of their progress as they work at the learning skills at these points in the year. Students are also asked to set goals and describe how they will achieve them.
The other two documents are for teachers to assess their students learning skills throughout the year. One is to assess an individual student and the other is a checklist with a spot for comments for multiple students, seven per page (which can be printed multiple times to meet the number of students in your classroom). I found this helpful when I had prep coverage.
The different learning skills are broken down into expectations which were derived from Growing Success.
These files are word documents so that you may make changes; particularly if your school board doesn't use the terms 'progress report, term 1 and term 2'.
