Three lessons (7 lessons if you use the Living the Lesson Activities included) to learn the importance of Reducing, Reusing, & Recycling. The first lesson, “Trash Talk” – 11 multiple choice questions about recycling and just how much trash is produced in the world. The answer key gives additional factual information about each topic. Teach your students the importance of recycling with the “Decomposition Quiz”. The quiz includes 12 items and a scrambled list of decomposition times. Students guess how long it takes these items to decompose in a landfill. In the third lesson, “Reduce, Reuse, & Recycle Pledge” students pledge to Reduce, Reuse, & Recycle by listing 5 ways they will help the Earth by reducing, reusing, and recycling.
Reduce, Reuse, & Recycle Class List – 8 ½” X 14” Printable – Add each student’s name to the list and they check off each box when they demonstrate an idea in class how they have Reduced, Reused, & Recycled.
Reduce, Reuse, & Recycle – Living the Lesson Activities (4 Additional Activities) – Many times after the lesson we do not live the lesson. These additional activities keep the lessons going with Trash Talk Centers, an Art Project and more!
These lessons are a great supplement to Earth Day, Science, or Environmental lessons.
