Games are fun to use in the classroom. This is a reducing fraction game where students will reduce fractions to the lowest term/simplest form. It is an eco-friendly themed game titled "REDUCE fractions, Reuse, Recycle". This just makes for a fun game board theme related to reducing fractions. It has colorful graphics related to recycling.
In this game, students will pull a fraction from the bag. They will then reduce it in their head. This game is intended to help kids practice reducing fractions where the numerator will divide into the denominator evenly resulting in a fraction of 1/ (over) a given number. For example, 5/20=1/4. The student would find 1/4 on the game board mark it with their colored game piece. The object of the game is to be the first to get four in a row.
This game includes: themed cover sheet incase you would like to use this as a file folder game, themed and colorful game board, fraction pieces, answer key, direction sheet.
Your students are sure to have fun reducing fractions throughout the school year!
