This list identifies grammar concepts, communicative goals, and related vocabulary for senior seminar's fourth thematic unit, "If I Were a Writer...". Leave the textbook to learn authentic, colloquial Spanish expressions and popular proverbs per their corresponding building blocks (present and past subjunctive, por vs. para, ser vs. estar). Distribute the English version to students at beginning of unit and bilingual version (study guide) at end. Excellent Option: Highlight (reinforce) 4-6 words or expressions at beginning of each class as "expresiones diarias". Students appreciate learning practical, non-antiquated vocabulary of present day native speakers. Results in easier "wishing" and more natural interpersonal interactions.
