Great option for time-outs in 2nd-6th grades.
Keep this reflection journal in an area of the room that students can go to when they have had one too many warnings. They can reflect on their feelings and behaviors, and jot them down in the booklet.
This is great for many reasons:
*allows student to cool down
*allows for expression of feelings
*teaches to self-monitor
*assists in record keeping of behaviors
In my classroom, I also include yoga poses to relax the student that is totally overwhelmed...and keep them near the journal.
To print, simply print pgs. 4-22, flip them over, and print on the back.
Fold book in half, and staple.
Repeat, when filled up : )
