Looking for a fun way to review reflection and refraction? This game allows students to think through multiple real-world examples of how light travels and behaves. It was designed with the Grade 5 Science STAAR in mind. This product includes 18 different cards that prompt students to determine whether each example represents reflection, refraction, or shadow formation. Students have an opportunity to demonstrate what they know, and answers are provided on the back of each card, allowing for immediate feedback.
Also, included is sentence starters for students to help them explain their thinking on each example. This activity allows for a quick, easy review of TEKS 5.6C, empowering students to think about this content in similar ways to how it has been assessed on STAAR. Also, since it is in game format, students will be thinking and working on a high level while having fun!
