This foldable covers the transformations of reflections and rotations.
For reflections, the change in coordinate pairs are discussed. I used column 2 as guided notes in order to remediate these rules.
For rotations, the change in coordinates is not discussed. Instead, the foldable focuses on direction and degree of rotation. The picture under column #4 can be used as guided notes to introduce or remediate degrees and direction. Encourage students to label the graph with 12, 3, 6, and 9, since many students do not have practice reading analog clocks.
The title page "Reflections & Rotations" By: (Name), can be used to remediate labeling quadrant numbers, and naming horizontal and vertical lines (i.e. y = 2 and x = 2) so that students are prepared to name the line of reflection.
*Note: Sometimes, the prime (A') is left off for error analysis purposes. Some triangles require labeling of A, B, and C before getting started. This was purposeful to remediate the necessity of labeling vertices and distinguishing pre-image from image.
I used this with my RTI group and they enjoyed it. Eighth graders love to fold paper.
