Product Description
In this webquest, students will interact with five different websites to better their understanding of refugees and the ongoing refugee crisis.

In part one, students will engage with two simulations that put them directly into the role of a refugee. Students will examine how their virtual experiences as a refugee connect to relevant vocabulary terms such as discrimination, prejudice, victim and stereotype.

In part two, students will visit the UNHCR website, interactively tour five Greek refugee camps and watch a Ted-Ed video. Students will answer questions for each.

Finally, part three allows students to choose a current news story about any aspect of the refugee crisis before summarizing its details.

This is a timely resource that allows students to actively engage with the topic of refugees. It will better one's understanding not only about refugees in general, but also build empathy of their plight.
