This product is to help students practice infusing evidence into answers. My students struggle with this concept and need continued practice. Quotes are used as evidence and there is no paraphrasing. In this product there are nine questions, three from each story. There are three activities with higher to lower levels of scaffolding.
The first has all parts of the question on separate strips of paper. I cut them apart and mixed them and had students put them together. Each set of four cards had to have a question, answer, evidence, and explanation of evidence.
The second activity has the questions on paper. One part of the answer is missing. Students have to use the parts provided to fill in the missing piece of the answer.
The third activity is just the questions. Students have to answer them completely.
An answer key is included.
