Product Description

This presentation contains a 43 slide PowerPoint lesson in editable PPT format with a role play activity, work papers and teacher’s notes.

This lesson discusses the difficulty of saying ‘no’ and how to confront it.

Saying “NO”, is not an easy thing to do, especially for ESL students. Most people say ‘yes’ to things they don’t want to do because it’s easier, because they want to avoid conflict or because they want to appear nice. Like other things, we need to practice refusal in order to get better at it and more comfortable doing it.

This lesson includes:

· Refusal vocabulary

· Situations we need to say ‘no’ to

· Why is it so difficult for some people to say ‘no’?

· Why is it important to learn to say no?

· how can you practice saying no?

· Things you need to say ‘no’ to and how to do it

· Refusal in a cultural context, including situations in which refusal will cause a clear cultural conflict.

· refusal role play

I hope you enjoy this lesson

IF YOU ARE PLANNING ON BUYING THIS PRODUCT, PLEASE READ THIS:

The products in this shop are all produces by a dyslexic teacher (hence the name).

I’m painfully aware of the contradiction in my choice of profession, but I can honestly say (after 25 years of teaching ESL classes) that there’s nothing I’d rather be doing.

Much like other challenged individuals who go through life with one hand tied behind their backs, I make up for what I lack with hours of research, high quality graphics, humor, passion and love.

Over the years, I've personally contributed to the economic success of every ‘correcting program’ available on the market and my lessons are proof read by wonderful, kind (and slightly horrified) TPT teachers, BUT there are always some errors that slip by us (mostly because I keep messing with the lessons after they've been proofread).

If you feel offended by the existence of errors in what is supposed to be a teaching tool - I perfectly understand, and...

THIS PRODUCT IS NOT FOR YOU!

for all the relaxed, open-minded individuals, that can see the quality beyond the grammar error (maybe even use it as a teaching opportunity), all my lessons are in an editable PPT format (and you get a free product if you send me the errors to correct).

THIS PRODUCT IS DEFINITELY FOR YOU!

I hope it delivers everything you hoped for and more, along with my gratitude.

Thank you!

WISH YOU ALL A WONDERFUL AND SUCCESSFUL YEAR!
