Regions of The United States
Students can create an engaging project to demonstrate their knowledge of the Regions of the United States.
*A letter from a travel agency asking for brochures about the regions of the United States.
*A Regions map overview to color code and select a region.
*A two-page note-taking graphic organizer to guide students in conducting research on their chosen region of the United States. The graphic organizer includes sections for climate, landmarks, physical features, natural resources, and fun facts.
*A Brochure checklist with criteria for students' brochures.
*A brochure template (to print double-sided and fold on the dotted lines)
This is a great way for students to delve deeper into one region of the United States and demonstrate their knowledge in a fun, practical, and engaging way. Students will sharpen their research and writing skills as well.
Set up a "travel agency office" in your classroom once all brochures are complete- allow students to read the brochures on each region of the United States and decide where they would like to travel based on what they have learned!
Perfect for third grade curriculum!
