PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Students will be comparing their followers on Twitter or Instagram to the number of people they are following to create a regression on their calculators! As a class, we filled out the table on the first page, and then I had students transfer that either to their TI calculator or to Desmos and find a regression that makes the most sense for their data. They then answer a few questions on the data set. I also had students compare their height and shoe length in case there were any students who did not have a Twitter or Instagram.

This is a fun pre-break activity in your Algebra 1 or Algebra 2 classes based on what you are teaching. I printed out the regression and had my Algebra 1 students plot their points based on the Algebra 2 students' data, which was a really fun way to interest my Algebra 1 students.
