This product is an easy way to assess if students understand when and when not to regroup during subtraction. Using SCOOT as an assessment makes it fun and engaging for students. These cards can also be placed in your math center if you want your students to solve them as well. An answer key is provided for that and for SCOOT. If using scoot, just have your students look at the problem and write "regroup" or "don't regroup". You can even have them just write the letters "R" and "DR" to make it faster. There are 28 task cards. These are ready to use. Just print and laminate. These also make a great addition to your small groups as flash cards. Just show them to the students and have them say "regroup" or "don't regroup" orally. These will be a good resource for third graders who are struggling with this skill.
