This is a simple worksheet that has students conjugating the regular verbs in the preterite tense as well as those -car/-gar/-zar (yo irregular) verbs. Students first provide the regular preterite endings, then conjugate verbs in sentences, and lastly translate some sentences into English.
It is nice for simple practice conjugating verbs, or you can spice up your activity by using it to play the "Seis" game.
To play the "Seis" game, students are placed into groups (about 4 per group). Each group only has 1 writing utensil among the group. Each group is also provided with 1 die. Students take turns rolling the die until the roll a six. Once a student rolls the number six, (s)he picks up the writing utensil and starts completing the sheet until another student rolls a six. Any time a six is rolled, the person who rolled the six grabs the writing utensil to work on the practice sheet. The student who completes the practice sheet first wins the game.
