Product Description
How do reindeer live in such a frigid environment?
Students LOVE reindeer! Help them learn more about this animal as they also learn about adaptations!
Includes: camouflage, migration, body parts and more!

I did a quick Google search to for “reindeer adaptations” and found several sites with pictures that I shared with my students as we discussed each feature.

Use this to spur an informational writing! I have them write about Rudolph in their journal the morning that I do this activity, and then we compare how nonfiction and fantasy are different. Two birds with one stone!

I always end this lesson by talking about migration, because many kids think that only birds migrate, they find it fascinating that animals migrate by air, land and water!

Enjoy!
