PUBLIC SCHOOL FRIENDLY! NO PREP - just copies!
Compare reindeer bones and human bones, and learn about interesting reindeer adaptations.
Includes a 1-page reading and a 2-page analysis worksheet.
First, students read an engaging article (middle school level) about reindeer, their diet, adaptations, and relationship with peoples of the Arctic. After the reading, students complete a 2-page analysis worksheet that organizes information about each adaptation and asks specific text-dependent reading comprehension questions. Students then predict the names of reindeer bones based on a diagram of homologous human bones. Answer key included. Related NGSS Standards: MS-LS4-2 and MS-LS4-4.
