Looking for some fun holiday math? These shape reindeer will have your students excited about learning as they talk all about shapes and their sides and vertices. Reindeer come out so cute and look great up on a bulletin board!
My kiddos felt so proud as they picked out the shape reindeer they wanted to create, described that shapes sides and vertices and then made their shape reindeer!
With my students, I first talked about and reviewed the shape options students could make. I then passed out the shape writing strip and had them choose which shape they wanted to use to create their reindeer and told them to think about that shape and write about how many sides and vertices it had. Once I checked student’s work, I let them use the tracers and create their reindeer shapes!

Two options: students can trace each reindeer part on construction paper or all parts are on one page for easy printing for students to just color, cut then create
