Rekenreks are so useful in number sense and number building with the Common Core. I have looked at the large Rekenreks for modeling or whole group use and they are are very expensive--so I decided to make my own. I used PVC pipe, water noodles and spray paint. The materials were under 15.00 and it took me less than 45 minutes to cut and assemble. This come with complete cutting and assembling directions. I have also included a picture for those that are visual with the steps and arrows to the parts I am discussing.
Have fun learning and playing!
