This is a review game that allows students to apply their knowledge on relating fractions to decimals. Students will have to solve problems that involve expressing a fraction with a denominator of 10 as an equivalent fraction with denominator 100, add two fractions with respective denominators 10 and 100, use decimal notation for fractions with denominators 10 or 100, and compare two decimals to hundredths.
You will need a Jenga game. You can either color or paint the blocks with the colors listed on the recording sheet. You can also purchase a tumbling tower that is already colored on Amazon. I have four Jenga games, so my students are put into four groups when they play. They roll a color die, then must solve a problem under the color they roll. Everyone in the group has to answer. When all students in the group have the correct answer, the student will attempt to pull out a block that matches the color he/she rolled. If the tower falls, they simply build it back up and continue playing.
