PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Students define a simple parent function of the same base and use basic transformations to graph a log function. Students also define vertical asymptotes as well as x-intercepts and show how asymptotes and undefined domain values relate to the log function.

Students also find an inverse to the given log function and verify its validity by composing it with the original log function and by showing that the domain and range have actually switched. This assessment/assignment is great for reinforcing the concept of logs as inverses for exponential functions.

This is a ONE page assignment, but THREE versions are included. The multiple versions could be used to encourage academic integrity, allow for re-take opportunities, or create a group work activity.
