Product Description
This is a 15 slide, highly animated, power point presentation on Religion – The Apostles of Jesus – James the Less. Each of the slides are editable so you can modify the slides if you need to.

We find the names of the 12 apostles of Jesus the Christ in: Matthew 10:2-4, Mark 3:14-19 and Luke 6:13-16. “And when day came, he called his disciples and chose from them twelve, whom he named apostles: Simon, whom he named Peter, and Andrew his brother, and James and John, and Philip, and Bartholomew, and Matthew, and Thomas, and James the son of Alphaeus, and Simon who was called the Zealot, and Judas [also called Thaddeus or Jude] the son of James, and Judas Iscariot, who became a traitor.” (ESV)

Each of these men sacrificed everything to follow the Lord. In Luke 18:28, their spokesman Peter said, "We have left all we had to follow you!" (NIV) They gave up family, friends, homes, jobs, and all things familiar to answer Christ's call. They formed the foundation of the Christian church, initiating a movement that steadily spread across the face of the earth.

James the Less is one of the most obscure apostles in the Bible. The only things we know for certain are his name and that he was present in the upper room of Jerusalem after Christ ascended to heaven. In Twelve Ordinary Men, author John MacArthur suggests that his obscurity may have been the distinguishing mark of his life. James was stoned to death then hit with a fuller’s club in Jerusalem in 62ce. This happened on the Festival of Passover.
