This is a 32 slide, highly animated, power point presentation on Religion – Heroes of the Old Testament – Moses, Deliverer of the Hebrew People. Each of the slides are editable so you can modify the slides if you need to.

Joseph and his brothers died, and the children of Israel multiplied in the land of Egypt. They held important positions and played an important role economic life of the country. It is not surprising that they stirred the jealousy of the native Egyptians who began to dislike the "foreigners."

Pharaoh died, too, and a new king ascended the throne. He had no sympathy or love for the children of Israel, and chose to forget all that Joseph had done for Egypt. He decided to act against the growing influence and number of the children of Israel. His council advised him to enslave and oppress these people before they grew too powerful. Pharaoh limited the personal freedom of the Hebrews, put heavy taxes on them, and recruited their men into forced labor battalions under the supervision of harsh taskmasters.

But the children of Israel increased and multiplied. When Pharaoh saw that forcing the Hebrews to do hard work failed in suppressing their rapidly growing numbers, he decreed that all newly born male children of the Hebrews be thrown into the Nile River. Only daughters should be permitted to live. Pharaoh hoped to end the numerical increase of the Hebrew population, and at the same time to eliminate a danger which, threatened his own life in the person of a leader to be born to the children of Israel.

The children of Israel could no longer endure their terrible suffering and persecution at the hands of their cruel overlords. Their cries for help, their supplications and prayers, coming from the very bottom of their hearts, constantly went up to the heavens. God honored His covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and started the process to deliver His people from bondage through the person of Moses.
