Product Description
This is an 18 slide, highly animated, power point presentation on Religion – Heroes of the Old Testament – Samson. Each of the slides are editable so you can modify the slides if you need to.

Samson is the biblical Hercules, a man of super-human strength who could not escape tragedy. He stands as one of the saddest figures in the Old Testament, a person who started with great potential but squandered it. Samson’s is the last of the major judges who led the Israelites, but he is hardly an ideal role model or savior. Samson breaks vows, marries outside of the people of Israel twice, and functions more as a vigilante than a leader. Remarkably, in the last moments of his life, Samson returned to God, and God answered his prayer.

Samson used his physical strength to fight Israel's enemies. He led Israel for 20 years. Samson ignored the disastrous consequences of sin, both in his own life and its effect on his country. God placed him in a position of authority, but he was a bad example as a leader. Reading the account of Samson's life and then his downfall with Delilah, one might think Samson wasted his life. He was a failure. Yet even still, he accomplished his God-assigned mission.

The New Testament doesn't list Samson's failures, nor his incredible acts of strength. Hebrews 11 names him in the "Hall of Faith" among those who "through faith conquered kingdoms, administered justice, and gained what was promised ... whose weakness was turned to strength."
