Students will examine the migration of Jews around the Mediterranean region and the effects of their conflict with the Romans, including the Romans' restrictions on their right to live in Jerusalem. In groups students will write and perform a 2 Act skit in which a group of Jewish leaders discuss the reasons why the Romans burned their Great Temple and what they need to do to survive and continue the practice of Judaism in the Roman Empire.
