Product Description
This project was created to meet Saskatchewan Grade 9 Social Studies curricula.
In this project, students are asked to make two collages showing the the worldviews of two major religions through five main elements: beliefs, values, history and practices, knowledge, and the concept of a good life. Students must find pictures that reflect these items for each religion to make a collage that represents the overall worldview of each religion.
Along the way, students are also asked to articulate their thoughts in their booklets, explaining their decisions for the photos and quotes they chose to represent each element in their collage.
It includes student self assessment checks along the way to ensure students are making progress. This product is ideal for a differentiated student and includes some IEP goals in the self assessment that could be edited out if necessary. I use this project for my inclusion students to work on during class time over the course of several weeks. If you use this in your regular programming, it will likely 3-4 days to complete.
