Included in this resource are four session plans/homework activities to get you started with clients working on reducing frontal tongue protrusion (lisping). This packet includes instructions for production of /s/ in isolation and in the initial position of words. Each lesson/worksheet is meant to be repeated over two sessions, with the idea that your client receives two 15-20 minute sessions per week.
Before each activity, you will find a 1-page overview that includes a half sheet to send home to parents as well as directions for the therapist. Carryover is so important, and with this resource, parents are kept informed of therapy rationales and what to do at home to help expedite therapy. As each new lesson is introduced, simply detach the parent section and send home with the student along with corresponding home practice materials (print at least two copies of each activity). As a bonus, I’ve included my popular Articulation Handout for S/Z to send home with other homework when students have “graduated” from this introduction.
