Whole Idea- Instead of just remembering one person because someone recorded a story about them, this project is to remember those that may have been overlooked. There were a lot of heroes that day and they all should be remembered. So, kids will randomly select a person from the list of victims and research his or her life online. They will then write notes on that person and create a building in their honor that represents the victim’s life. The student will be in charge of celebrating this victim’s life by presenting them in a favorable way to the class and trying to never forget the victim’s name. The student will then and tape the building among the others in the sky. (I kept up my display all year, but however you feel. I had 60 kids and had all 60 building over my whiteboard) - It looks cool when it is done and leaves a lasting impression in the classroom.
