I have always tried to get my students to invent an original story to present as a Dramatic play in conjunction with the service for Remembrance Day. Here is one that stood out. It also includes a (possible) introduction that prompts the audience to "remember". Try it. It is meaningful and moving.
I have also added a special bonus poetry reading, which can be done separately before or after the main play, but it really ought to be included somewhere.
There is another one as well, although more complicated and deeply allegorical, better suited for higher grades. Click here...
